William M. Blakley

Carrie [Tyner] Blakley
October 7, 1862 ~ February 12, 1937


William M. Blakely was born in Enterprise, Mississippi, December 28, 1848, and departed from this world February 11, 1937. He was a member of the Masonic order for 54 years.

Mrs. Carrie T. Blakely was born in Society Hill, Alabama on October 7, 1862, and passed away on February 12, 1937.

They were united in marriage in September 1883. To this union was born ten children, seven of whom are still living.

In 1885 both were united with the Methodist church in which they were active members. Later, in 1908 Mrs. Blakely became affiliated with the Baptist church and was a member of that denomination at the time of her departure, being a member of the Alex Baptist church.

They leave to mourn their loss three sons, Walter, Tom and Frank, and four daughters, Helen, Delia, Ida and Irene; twenty four grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
