© Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Marlow, Oklahoma October 5, 2012 January 7, 1944 ~ October 5, 2012 Duncan: Phil Ray Morrison, 68, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 in Duncan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Phil was born Friday, January 7, 1944 in Marlow to Herman and Pauline [Bowman] Morrison. Phil lived in the Stephens County area all of his life and graduated from Marlow High School in 1962. He served in the National Guard for nine years. Phil married Wanda Whitehead on July 1, 1966 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked as a machinist for Halliburton, retiring after 33 years of service. Phil had a great sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining kids. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Phil was interested in learning facts about any subject. He was an extremely creative person and a skilled craftsman in knife making and woodworking. He was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Phil had a strong belief in his faith and attended Heritage Oak Church in Duncan. Survivors include, his wife, Wanda Morrison of the home; son, Buddy Morrison and wife Ena of Duncan; three daughters, Lisa Huckabaa and husband Alan and Paula Huckabaa and husband Russell, both of Duncan, Kristi Jensen and husband John of Papalote, Texas; four grandchildren, Maryssa Ashton and husband Jay of Portland, Texas, Jordan Huckabaa of Oklahoma City, Jacob Huckabaa of Duncan, Destini Dorer of Ardmore; two great grandchildren, Raelee and Jaelyn Ashton, three brothers, Wendell Morrison and wife Shirley of Rush Springs, Nick Morrison and wife Kay of Duncan and Keith Morrison and wife Anita of Norman; several nieces and nephews. Phil was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vicki Hinkie. |
