April 2007 Carl Albert Medell October 12, 1936 ~ April 13, 2007 Comanche: Carl Albert Medell, 70, Comanche, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 in Rush Springs.Services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Bailey Community Church in Stephens County with Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma. Carl was born Monday, October 12, 1936 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Charley Medell and Sylvia [Jackson] Medell. Carl had lived in the Marlow area most of his life. He graduated Lindsay High School and attended barber school. He was a barber and a self-employed rancher. He enjoyed riding horses, ranching, fishing and he loved to dance. Carl was very proud of his Indian heritage. Survivors include, Daughter-Mary Phipps & husband Richard of Comanche, OK; 3 Sisters- Omega Jo Smith of Prattville, AL; Betty Marshall of Denison, TX; Kay Medell of Duncan, OK; Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Son, Charlie Medell and wife, Jenny Medell. |
