September 8, 1929 ~ February 16, 2012 Tishomingo: Ruby Lea [Turner] Gray, 82, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Ardmore. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 20, 2012, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Rev. Randall Chapman officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Ruby was born Sunday, September 8, 1929 in Marlow, to Amos Daniel Turner and Lona Arbell [Spencer] Turner. Ruby attended school in Marlow and Bray. She worked at various jobs throughout her life, including the broom factory. Ruby married Doug Gray on June 28, 1992 in Comanche. She enjoyed sewing and craft projects. She made dolls, pillows, hat bands, potholders and blankets. She loved traveling and playing with her grandchildren. Ruby was busy doing something all of the time. Survivors include, husband, Doug Gray of the home, three sons, James Deal and wife Margie of Marlow, Danny Deal and wife Linda of Lindsay, Ted Deal and wife Beckie of Reagan; three daughters, Barbara Collins and husband Pat of Ardmore, Johnnie Rolen and husband Mike of Ardmore, Linda Whitson and husband James of Ada; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; five brothers, Hershel Turner and wife Luella of Duncan, Jeff Turner and wife Lydia of Bray, Frank Turner and wife Ann of Marlow, Ronnie Turner and wife Anita of Marlow, Donnie Turner of Marlow; sister, Jean Slay of Duncan, numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, son, Wayne Deal, daughter, Elizabeth Deal, brother, Cecil Turner. Pallbearers will be her grandsons |
