April 15, 1999 Robert Leon Deal October 3, 1911 ~ April 15, 1999 MARLOW -- Services for Robert Leon Deal, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Deal officiating. Interment will follow at Bailey Cemetery. Deal was born October 3, 1911, in Goree, Texas, to James Robert and Maybell Powell Deal. He died April 15, 1999, in a Healdton health care facility. He was an auto mechanic who lived in Healdton and Marlow all of his life. He married Erman Pauline Foundren on Dec. 11, 1935, at Ardmore. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Survivors include two sons, Robert Leon "Butch" Deal Jr., Healdton, and Norman Deal, Atoka; five daughters, Bobbie Morgan, Healdton, Billie Sweetman, Duncan, Betty Sweetman, Chickasha, Vera "Toni" Beck, Healdton and Roberta "Jayne" Irwin, Healdton; one brother, J.W. Deal, Missouri; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Bearers will be grandsons. |

Jimmy Deal officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Pauline was born Saturday, July 10, 1920 in Davis, Oklahoma, to the late Hilton and the late Alice Mae [Whitehead] Fondren. Pauline married the late Robert Leon Deal on December 11, 1935 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death April 19, 1999. Pauline lived most of her life in the Healdton & Fox area before moving to Cassville, MO. She was a wonderful mother; housewife and grandmother, who loved to can vegetables, quilt and she especially loved dancing with her husband, as many of the old timers could tell you. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 Lena Lucille [Healy] Deal September 18, 1921 ~ October 9, 2007 Marlow: Lena "Lucille" Deal, 86, Marlow, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in Duncan. Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, October 12, 2007, at the First Christian Church in Marlow, with Kent Strahan officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Lena was born Sunday, September 18, 1921 in Rosebud, Arkansas, to Benjamin and Darcy Jewell [Heffington] Healy. She attended school at Cox City. She married Norman Lester Deal and he preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1991. Lucille retired from Gregston Nursing Home as a CNA. She enjoyed being a homemaker and working in her garden and flower beds. She also enjoyed taking care of her family, working puzzle books, reading and watching the Atlanta Braves. Survivors include, 4 Sons, Norman Lester Deal, Jr of Marlow, OK, Stanley Edgar Deal of Luther, OK, Donald Ray Deal of Marlow, OK, Glen Allen Deal of Fresno, CA; 4 Daughters, Lawana Joann Naylor of Oklahoma City, OK, Shirley Dean Zaczek of Clovis, CA, Phyllis Jean Gilchrist of Watertown, NY, Teri Lee Bowers of Kiefer, OK; 14 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren; 7 Great Great Grandchildren; Brother, Stephen Healy of Crescent City, CA; Several Nieces & Nephews.She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, 1 Brother and 2 Sisters. April 1989 Alfred Eugene Deal July 1, 1930 ~ April 17, 1989 WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Alfred Eugene Deal, 58, Burkburnett, Texas, died Monday, April 17, 1989, in Wichita Falls. Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow with Bro Jarrel Huffman of Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Bailey Cemetery. Mr. Deal was born July 1, 1930, in Throckmorton, Texas, he grew up in Bray and had lived in Burkburnett since 1964. He married Sylvia Daubenspeck on March 10, 1953, in Cherokee. He retired from the US Air Force after 21 years of service, including duties in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of Primitive Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Karen Dorsett of Duluth, Minnesota and Jeanette McMurphy of Burkburnett; three brothers, Robert Deal of Healdton, Norman Deal of Marlow and J. W. Deal of Golden, MO; a sister, Edith Grigsby of Duncan; and five grandchildren. Bearers will be Clyde Dorsett, Randy McMurphy, David Deal, Bill Grigsby, Donald Deal and Stanley Deal. |
