© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma January 17, 2005 Rosa Manda [McDaniels] Steele September 18, 1915 ~ January 15, 2005 Funeral service for Rosa Manda Steele, age 89, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Harris will officiate. Rosa Manda Steele was born the daughter of William E. McDaniels and Annie Rogers McDaniels on September 18, 1915, in Amber, Oklahoma. She died on January 15, 2005, at her home in Chickasha. Rosa lived in the Chickasha area all her life. She graduated from Amber High School. On May 1, 1941, Rosa married Francis Monroe Steele in Chickasha. Rosa spent her life caring for her husband and family. She loved to sew, work crossword puzzles, and play with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, her husband, and two children, Walter Steele and Thelma Biby. Survivors include her daughter and husband, Frances and James Farley of Tuttle, son and wife, David and Kathy Steele of Harrah; son and wife, Harold and Juanita Steele of Broken Arrow; son, Jimmy Steele of Richmond, Virginia; daughter, Wanda Largent of Chickasha; brother, Roy McDaniels of Chickasha; brother, Floyd McDaniels of Lone Grove; sister, Kattie Hopper of Ardmore; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Amber Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
