© March 2020 March 28, 1926 ~ March 1, 2020 Daisy “Pearl" McCoy, of Oklahoma City, passed away March 1, 2020 at the age of 93. She was born March 28, 1926 in Maud, Oklahoma to Robert C. & Daisy H. [Anderson] McDaniels. Pearl enjoyed working in the yard and growing flowers. She loved to crochet and could crochet anything. Pearl enjoyed cooking and was known for her pies and cakes. She always ate Braum’s banana pecan ice cream – it was her favorite. She enjoyed watching old westerns, “Gunsmoke,” “Rifleman,” and “Bonanza.” Pearl grew up in the Maud area before moving to Oklahoma City. She worked for AMC and retired after 20 years of service. Pearl then went to work part-time for WalMart in Oklahoma City and Edmond. She moved to Neosho, Missouri and enjoyed retirement. Pearl had a genuine smile and loved to laugh. She was happy-go-lucky and would do anything for anyone. Curtis said his mother had a kind loving and giving heart and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her first love was spending time with her family and friends. Pearl is survived by 2 sons, Ronnie McCoy & wife, Rachel, of Bethany and Curtis McCoy & wife, Rhonda, of Oklahoma City; 7 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Daisy McDaniels; her husband, Roy McCoy; 2 sons, Bobby Dean McCoy and Eugene McCoy; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters. Funeral Services for Pearl will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Amber Cemetery, Amber, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel. |
