June 27, 1928 ~ September 5, 2018 Graveside funeral service for Lurena June Lantz, age 90, of Amber, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Amber Cemetery. Lurena June Lantz was born the daughter of W.G. Holland and Vera Dabney Holland on June 27, 1928 in Tulsa, OK. She died on September 5, 2018 at her home in Amber. Lurena graduated from high school in Putnam City and married Arnold Lantz on July 24, 1949. The couple lived in Oklahoma City, OK for five years and Oakland, CA for eight years prior to moving to Amber, OK where she lived for 56 years. She was very artistic with many talents including painting, ceramics and sewing. She was also musical and could both sing and play the piano. In addition to her artistic talents, Lurena also pastored at Sharon Evangel Church for five years. Lurena was preceded in death by her parents W.G. and Vera Holland; her husband Arnold Lantz; her son John Lantz; two brothers, Charles and Billy; and her sister Vivian. Lurena is survived by her daughters Shirlinda Lange and Cindy Richardson and husband Phil; three grandchildren, Debra, Melissa and Tiffany; and four great-grandchildren, Baylie, Brooklyn, William and Max. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. |
