July 2021 May 8, 1966 ~ July 7, 2021 Funeral service for Janice Haney, 55, of Amber, OK, will be held at the First Baptist Church of Pocasset, OK. Janice was born the daughter of Wesley and Diana Callahan on May 8, 1966 in Chickasha, OK. She died on July 7, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK. Janice grew up in the Amber, OK area where she graduated from Amber-Pocasset High School and then earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from USAO in Chickasha. After receiving her teaching certificate she worked as a substitute teacher in many area schools. She worked at the Town of Amber and District Two Water Department for many years before going to work for the Chickasaw Nation. She took extra care to make sure she did excellent work in all of her many jobs. In June, 1987 Janice married her husband Ronnie Haney and they were blessed with three children; they just celebrated 34 years of marriage. An avid reader, Janice spent many evening hours reading aloud to her children. She loved to travel, sew and scrapbook her memories. She also loved flowers, but wasn't gifted with a green thumb and couldn't keep them alive for very long. Janice deeply loved her seven grandbabies and had fond nicknames for each of them. Janice was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother Diana Callahan. Janice is survived by her husband Ronnie Haney; children Klarissa Nightingale and husband Mark, Kandice Doan and husband Joel, and Kutter Haney and fiancé Emily Shibley; grandchildren Lanna, Jocelyn, Kally and Brant Nightingale and Rozalyn, Izabelle and Ainzley Doan; father Wesley Callahan; brother Kevin Callahan and wife Marsha. Interment will be in the Amber Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. |
