© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, October 27, 2005 Wilma Pauline [Ballard] Wolfe October 11, 1919 ~ October 25, 2005 Funeral service for Wilma Pauline Wolfe, 86, former Alex resident, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2005, at the Alex Southern Baptist Church. Wilma Pauline Wolfe was born October 11, 1919 in Pocasset, Oklahoma to J. W. and Ethel Ballard and died October 25, 2005 in Winnsboro, Louisiana. Her younger years were spent growing up in Spring Creek and Tabler Comminity. She graduated from Lone Grove High School in 1939, then moved to the Naples Community where she met and married Clyde Wolfe in 1939. They moved to the Alex Community in 1945, where they resided for the past 64 years. She was involved with her children's school work and activities while they were growing up. She enjoyed her Eastern Star, Home Demonstration Club, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and cards with friends. Ms. Polly was always there to listen to her children never judging, but there to guide. She remained cheerful and witty even when very sick never complaining. If you asked her how are you doing? She would answer "I'm going to live." She had a full life raising children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Mother and father, James & Ethel Ballard; Twin brother: Paul Ballard; Sister: Geraldine Moran; Husband: Clyde Wolfe; Son: Jerry C. Wolfe. She is survived by sons James Lynn Wolfe and wife Linda of Alex; Dwight Wolfe of Alex; daughter Wilma Sullivan and husband Jim of Winnsboro, LA; daughter-in-law Linda Simmons Wolfe of Alex; 8 grandchildren, Terry, Kim, Colby, Tracy, Geoffrey, Shanna, Chris, Brad and 15 great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
