© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, 25 August 2005 Wilma Anita [Rodgers] Williams May 14, 1938 ~ August 23, 2005 Funeral service for Wilma Anita Rodgers Williams, 67, of Alex, Oklahoma will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Alex High School Auditorium. Wilma Williams was born May 14, 1938 in the Hawkins Community, north of Alex, Oklahoma the daughter of Jessie Leon and Clara Caroline [Villa] Rodgers and died August 23, 2005 in Oklahoma City. Wilma worked in medical records at Grady Memorial Hospital for 18 yrs. In 1978 she went to work at Southern Plains Medical Center as a receptionist and retired November 1, 2004. Wilma was a member of the Westside Church of Christ of Alex. She was preceded in death by: Her parents; three siblings: Wanda Rodgers, Francis Rodgers and Jessie Leon Rodgers, Jr. Survivors include: Husband: Sammie J. Williams of the home; one son and his wife, Jay and Kelly Williams of Edmond, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Jayman, Jordan and JaCoby of Edmond; two sisters: Helen Voss of Chickasha, Edna McCumber of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers: Charley Rodgers of Plainview, Texas, John Rodgers of Chickasha. Numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
