Memorial contributions may be made to St Judes Children Research in Memphis, Tennessee or to Berean Children’s Home of Bugue Chitto, Mississippi. Ellen Maxine Stewart formerly of Alex, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 93. She was born June 25, 1927 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Rufus Andrew and Blanche [Mitchell] Welch. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ of Alex. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard Stewart, grandsons: Cody Alexander and Connor Frieling and a sister Clara Louise DeArmond. Maxine is survived by her children: Judith Ann Watts, Patricia Raelene Stewart, Jimmy Lyle Stewart, and Danny Lee Stewart; 14 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; Nephews: Harold Ray DeArmond and Sterling Lynn DeArmond; and a great nephew Tommy DeArmond. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery, Alex, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK. |
