Minnie Lee [Logston] Stewart
February 4, 1901 ~ March 13, 1989


Funeral for Minnie Lee Stewart, 88, Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 1989, in the Alex High School Auditorium. Leonard Stewart and Buford Stewart will be officiating.

She was born February 4, 1901, in Grayson County, Texas, and died Monday, March 13, 1989, in Chickasha.

She and Buford B. [Blue] Stewart were married September 27, 1917, in Ringling. He preceded her in death November 21, 1972.

They moved to Alex in 1920 from Alvord, Texas, and farmed in the Alex area until retirement in 1968. Mrs Stewart moved to Chickasha in August, 1981.

She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Alex and the Ninth and Colorado Church of Christ in Chickasha since 1981.

Mrs. Stewart was also preceded in death by one son, Albert Carl Stewart, on Jan. 29, 1959; one sister, two brothers and one great grandson.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Stephenson of Chickasha; one son, Neuil Stewart of Ninnekah; 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Interment will be in Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
