Madow [Ward] Steelman
June 6, 1920 ~ April 28, 2010


Funeral service for Madow Ward Steelman, 89, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Madow Ward Steelman was born June 6, 1920 in Okarche, Oklahoma, the daughter of Vennie and Velma [Wilkerson] Ward. She died April 28, 2010 in Chickasha.

Mrs. Steelman was a lifelong resident of Grady County. She and Clarence Clinton 'Chili' Steelman were married May of 1937 in Kansas. They farmed and ranched in the Ninnekah and Alex areas. Mrs. Steelman also worked as a dietician at Grady Memorial Hospital for many years. She lived in Chickasha for over 40 years. Mrs. Steelman loved to dance and had belonged to many dance clubs through the years.

She was preceded in death by: Her husband: Clarence Clinton 'Chili' Steelman, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include: 1 sister: Cecilia Bowlin of Midwest City, OK, several nieces and nephews, including Beckie Turner of Amber and Reford Steelman of Blanchard.

Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
