April 2014 James Edwin "Jim" Sontany September 22, 1945 ~April 21, 2014 Private memorial services for James "Jim" Edwin Sontany, 68, of Ninnekah will be held at a later date by the family. James "Jim" Edwin Sontany was born September 22, 1945, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He died in Chickasha on Monday, April 21, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Nadine Smith, and stepfather, Kirby Kenneth Smith; one brother, Joseph Aron Massengale; and wife, Christine D. Sontany. He is survived by four children: Jamie Elaine Sontany of Nashville, TN; Jacqueline Elizabeth Carter of Murfreesboro, TN; James Chandler Breaux of Port Arthur, TX; and Sherry Susan Sontany of Mansfield, TX. He is also survived by four brothers: Stephen Douglas Massengale of Dallas, TX; Michael Dois Massengale of Arlington, TX; Robert Lynn Massengale of Chickasha, OK; and William Albert Smith of Chickasha, OK. Jim was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Glenhaven Retirement Village and Nursing Home for the care and kindness that Jim received while he was a resident at the facility. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
