© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma April 26, 2004 Roy Dean Simmons December 15, 1933 ~ October 1, 2006 Graveside service for Roy Dean Simmons, 72, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the Alex Cemetery. Roy Dean Simmons was born December 15, 1933 in Alex, Oklahoma the son of Robert Roy and Dora [Shackelford] Simmons and died Sunday, October 1, 2006 at his home in Ninnekah. Roy was a graduate of Alex High School. He spent most of his life in the Alex, Ninnekah, and Chickasha areas. He and Almeita Norton were married December 23, 1974 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Roy worked for Badgett Corporation for 42 years. He was preceded in death by: parents; stepmother: Mary Simmons. Survivors include: wife: Almeita Simmons of the home in Ninnekah; children: Richard Norton of Chickasha; Robert Simmons of Chickasha; Kirk Simmons of Chickasha; Lawonda Dean Selzer of Lindsay; Dena Fife of Arlington, Texas; son and daughter, Larry and Brenda; brothers and sisters: A. B. Simmons of Plano, Texas; James Simmons of Bossier City, Louisiana; Fred Simmons of Morton, Illinois; Gladys Carr of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; Margaret Ann Lile of Anchorage, Alaska; more than 20 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
