Warren Harding Rodgers

Funeral service for Warren H. Rodgers, 83, of Alex, Oklahoma will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Alex Southern Baptist Chapel.

Warren H. Rodgers was born November 20, 1924, in Boyd, Texas the son of Homer W. and Etta Leona [Allison] Rodgers and died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at his home in Alex.

Warren and Myrtle G. Richardson were married June 24, 1977, in Alex, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 2006.

He retired from Maremont in 1987.

Warren was a member of the Southern Baptist Chapel of Alex for 28 years.

He was also preceded in death by his parent; one brother: Ray Rodgers; and one sister: Oleta Mathison.Survivors include six children: Linda and Robert Williams of Alex, OK; Polly and Greg Engelbert of Oklahoma City; Bernilda and Roger Saxon of Chickasha; Douglas and Elizabeth Rodgers of Clinton, MO; Steve and Linda Rodgers of Oklahoma City; and Monarae and Bill Stagner of Humansvilles, MO; two brothers: Hershal and Ruby Rodgers of Cypress, CA; and Norvell and Jean Rodgers of Porum, OK; and one sister, Bobbie and Woody Robinson of Chickasha; 10 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Internment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Myrtle G. [Richardson] Rodgers
January 31, 1930 ~ March 7, 2006

Funeral service for Myrtle G. Rodgers, 76, of Alex, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Southern Baptist Chapel of Alex.

Myrtle G. Rodgers was born January 31, 1930 the daughter of Claude and Mary [Merrell] Richardson and died March 7, 2006 in Chickasha.

She lived in Grady County all of her life. Myrtle and Warren Rodgers were married June 24, 1976.

She worked at Badgetts Machine Shop for 17 years as a machinist retiring in 1989.

Myrtle was a member of the Southern Baptist Chapel of Alex.

She was preceded in death by: Parents; one brother: Charlie Richardson; one sister: Carmelita Cofer.

Survivors include: Husband: Warren Rodgers of the home; four daughters: Linda and Robert Williams of Alex, Oklahoma; Polly and Greg Engelbert of Oklahoma City; Mona and Bill Stagner of Humansville, Missouri; Bernilda and Roger Saxon of Chickasha, Oklahoma; two sons: Steve and Linda Rodgers of Oklahoma City; Douglas and Elizabeth Rodgers of Clinton, Missouri; one sister: Georgia Johnson of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Servier Funeral Home.
