Express~Star Chickasha, Oklahoma May 1952 August 8, 1885 ~ May 7, 1952 Z. H. "Nolan" Funeral Held Alex - Funeral services were held Thursday in the First Baptist church for Z. H. "Nolan", 67, with Rev. W. R. Spears, pastor, officiating. Mr. "Nolan" moved from St. Joe, Texas, to Alex in 1926 and, with the exception of three years at Chickasha, has lived there since. He died in his home at 3 a.m. Wednesday. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sally "Nolan"; two daughters, Mrs. J. D. McCurry of Colgate and Mrs. H. H. Newberry of Alex; one sister, Mrs. W. M. Edwards of Weslaco, Texas; two brothers, John L. "Nolan" of Mercedes, Texas, and Joe A. "Nolan" of Weslaco, Texas; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Flower girls were Carlene Word, Phyllis Overby, Regina Chapman, Donna Fay Perry, Bobbie Lou Holder and Sharon Horne. Active pallbearers were Jet White, Bill Holder, Clyde Phillips, Gene Phillips, Gladace Goyne and Clarence Chapman. Honorary pallbearers were O. T. Lynn, C. L. Worden, W. D. Horne, H. T. Hancock, Bill Bowen and Austin Simmons. Interment was in Morris Cemetery at Alex under the direction of Browne Funeral home of Lindsay. |
