March 3, 2000 February 13, 1887 ~ November 20, 1938 Mrs. Wilkey Nichols claimed by grim reaper. Mrs. Wilkey Nichols succumbed Thursday morning 24 [20] November 1938 at a Chickasha hospital due to the ravages of cancer. Although she had been in failing health for the past two years, her condition was not believed to be serious until recently when she submitted to an operation and failed to rally afterword. Mrs. Ora Spradling Nichols was born 13 Feb 1887 at Lake Victor, Texas, and was married to Wilkey Nichols at Rosedale, Oklahoma in 1905 [1903] after which time they resided at Byars and Alex. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the East Side Church of Christ Rev. C R Worsham conducted the rites. Burial was in the Morris Cemetery. She leaves to morn her loss, the husband W. N.[V], mother, Mrs B.F. Spradling of Lake Victor, Texas, six daughters, Mrs Leo Prather and Mrs. Ocela Russell of California, Mrs.Rutha May Myers of Harris, Altha, Dorothy and Dora Lee at home, two sons Charlie of California and Jasper at home, Three brothers: Jo, Ed, and Ben Spradling of Lake Victor, Texas and two sisters Mrs. Eura Thompson and Mrs. Ida Thompson of Texas. |
