© Alex Tribune Alex, Oklahoma Friday, September 11, 193 May 2, 1897 ~ September 2, 1936 Clarence Melvin Moyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Moyer, was born May 2, 1897, at Bonner Springs, Kansas, and departed this life September 2, at Tucson, Arizona. His early childhood was spent in Kansas and he later moved to Oklahoma with his parents. In 1918 he volunteered in the navy and was stationed at San Fransisco. After his discharge he spent several years in Colorado later returning to Oklahoma. He was employed in the oil fields of Longview Texas, where it was found that he had contracted tuberculosis. He entered the hospital at Albequerque, New Mexico, in February 1934 and remained there until about five weeks ago, when he was taken to the hospital at Tucson where he passed away. He is survived by his parents, one brother Ernest of Chola Vista, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Cook and Mrs. Virgil Bible of Alex, Mrs. W. W. Armstrong of Lawton and Mrs. Stokes Barlow of Chola Vista, Calif. Services were conducted by Rev. W. G. newberry and interment was made in the Morris Cemetery. |
