John Thomas "Tut" Mobly
January 22, 1856 ~ December 7, 1934


Pioneer Citizen Claimed by Death

J. T. Mobley, pioneer resident of the community southwest of Alex, passed away December 7, from his home there. Mr. Mobley was born January 22, 1856.

He was married to Miss Rose Dolan September 17, 1882.

The following children survive his passing: Charles, of Canadian, Texas; Mrs. Jesse Desmond of Minco; Mrs. Ruth McLemore of Alex; William, of Wichita, Kansas; Doc, of Alex, and Jim of Mobeetie, Texas.

The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Alex Methodist church, Rev. Grady N. Ross conducting the services.

Burial was in the Morris cemetery.
