© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Wednesday, October 14, 2009 Dora Marie [Tryon] Mills July 18, 1940 ~ October 12, 2009 Graveside service for Dora Marie Mills, age 69 of Alex, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, in the Alex Cemetery. Sister Alice Wendling will officiate. Dora Marie was born the daughter of Cleaborn Tryon and Lucy McBroom Tryon on July 18, 1940, in Casagrande, Arizona. She died on October 12, 2009, in Alex. Marie lived in Chickasha most of her life. She was first married to Don Mowdy, Sr, then Floyd Chadrick, Sr, and was currently married to Bennett Mills for twenty-five years. Marie enjoyed socializing with her friends and playing dominos and darts. She was baptized recently by Sister Alice Wendling where she was a member of the Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Floyd Chadrick, Jr., granddaughter, Stormi Beverly, grandson, Don Mowdy, III, her husbands, Don Mowdy, Sr., and Floyd Chadrick, six brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include: Husband Bennett Mills of Chickasha, Son and Wife: Don and Sue Mowdy of Alex, Daughter and Husband: Jeanie and Tommy Guffee of Beaver, Daughter and Husband: Charlet and Eddie Penney of Alex, Son and Wife: Mike and Diane Mowdy of Tishomingo, Daughter: Velma Nunn of Chickasha, Grandson who she raised: Justin Mills of Chickasha, Twenty-Two Grandchildren, Twenty-Four Great Grandchildren, Sister and Husband: Dorothy and Pete Beverly of Bradley, Sister and Husband: Rita Jo and Jess Climer of Chickasha, Brother: Billy Tryon of Chickasha, Brother and Wife: Charles and Liz Tryon of Conway, Arkansas, Brother and Wife: Billy Bob and Judy Tryon of Chickasha, Sister-in-law: Pat Edon of El Reno. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
