© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma December 30, 1999 Ren Dale Meeks December 3, 1990 ~ December 24, 1999 Funeral service for Ren Dale Meeks, 9, of Chickasha, was held Monday, December 27 at 2 pm at the Ninnekah First Baptist Church. Rev. Audie Dorrough and Rev. Donald Lee Wright officiated. Ren Dale Meeks was born December 3, 1990 to Richard and Tressia [Harvey] Meeks at Chickasha. He died December 24 in Anadarko. Ren attended school at Ninnekah Elementary School. He was in the third grade. Ren had been active in baseball since the age of three with the Ninnekah OK Kids. He played football for three years with the Alex Mighty Might Football League. Ren played basketball for the Chickasha YMCA, and was wrestling on the Chickasha Pee Wee Wrestling Team. He was a member of the Ninnekah 4-H and the Ninnekah First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Harvey and his grandmother, Wilma Meeks. He is survived by his parents, Richard Meeks of Frisco, Texas and Tressia Meeks of Chickasha; two brothers, Ricky Meeks of Frisco, Texas and Roger Meeks of Chickasha; two sisters, Laken and Kayla Meeks both of Chickasha; grandmother Mildred Harvey of Albert; grandfather, Doil Meeks of Atwood and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Ninnekah OK Kids and the Alex Mighty Might Football programs. Interment followed the service at the Ft. Cobb Cemetery under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Hinton. |
