Emma P. [Hals] McDonald
March 13, 1888 ~ September 16, 1940

Mrs. Emma Hals McDonald was born at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, March 16, 1888, and departed this life September 16, 1940.

Early in life she moved with her family to Oklahoma and was affiliated with the Lutheran Church.

On December 12, 1917, she became the wife of Oscar L. McDonald, and two children were born to this union, Minnie, now of Oklahoma City, and James of Rush Springs.

The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the West Side Church of Christ, Rev. W. G. Newberry speaking words of comfort to the sorrowing family.

Interment was in the Morris cemetery, southwest of town.

She leaves to mourn her untimely passing the husband and two children, two brothers, Pete Hals of Coffelt and Joe Hals of Headrick, and two sisters, Mrs. W. P. Dempsey of Mountain Park and Mrs. Martha Sevede of Minot, North Dakota.

Note: Mrs. McDonald's birth day is incorrect in this obit as well as the location of the cemetery which is southeast of town, not southwest as stated.
