March 1993 Lillian H. [Garrett] McConnell November 1, 1917 ~ March 25, 1993 Funeral service for Lillian H. McConnell, 75 of Alex, Oklahoma, was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 29, 1993, at the Alex Assembly of God Church, Rev. J. C. Venable of Lindsay officiated and Rev. Steve Palczynsky, pastor, assisted. Lillian McConnell was born November 1, 1917, in Bourbon, Missouri, the daughter of Cebert Bacon and Mable Garrett Bacon, and died Thursday, March 25, 1993, at the Convalescent Center in Chickasha. Lillian married Doss McConnell on November 2, 1931, in Bethany, Oklahoma. They moved to Alex in 1967, where she was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; two brothers; and her husband, Doss McConnell, on June 16, 1987. Survivors include one brother, Randall Bacon of Sullivan; four sisters, Thelma Davis of Bourbon, MO, Mary Waltee of Sullivan, Mable King of Sullivan, and Betty Farrar of Durant, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Interment was in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of the Brown-Binyon Funeral Home. |
