Timothy Boyd "Popeye" Leatherwood
January 21, 1963 ~ October 2, 2012


Graveside services for Timothy Boyd Leatherwood, 49, of Alex Oklahoma, will be held Friday, October 5, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in Alex Cemetery, Alex, Oklahoma.

Timothy Leatherwood was born January 21, 1963 in El Dorado Kansas, son of Boyd Leatherwood and Alzoria Byford. He died October 2, 2012.

He grew up in Ninnekah, attended Ninnekah schools and graduated from high school in 1981.

Timothy married Kimberly Burns March 26, 1982. From this union came his two children, Amanda and Josh.

Timothy worked in the oil field as a floorhand. Timothy love to farm. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He always had a story to tell. He loved to spoil any child and couldn't wait to meet Baby Tucker. He enjoyed cooking and his mama's fried chicken.

Timothy is preceded in death by his mother and father, one nephew, Justin McMullen and one grandson, Tyler Johnson.

Survivors include: daughter and son in-law, Amanda and Bradley Ford, son and daughter in-law, Josh and Sierra Leatherwood, sister and brother in-law, Dedra and Bobby McMullen, all of Alex, sister and brother in-law, Kim and John Valerius of Gracemont, brother, Scott Leatherwood of Woodward, father, Luke Byford of Chickasha, grandson, Tucker Leatherwood of Alex, and numerous aunts, uncles and friends.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
