Mrs. L. M. Keith Dies Saturday Morning

Mrs. L. M. Keith, 43, living on a farm east of Alex, died Saturday morning at three o'clock. She was the mother of a baby girl, stillborn, a few hours before her death.

Mrs. Keith was born April 18, 1891. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Raper, reside at Jacksborough, Texas.

Surviving are the husband, six sons and four daughters.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. J. Keith and Rev. Grady N. Ross. Interment in the Morris Cemetery.

Albert Emmett Keith
July 31, 1923 ~ June 25, 2001


Funeral service for Albert E. Keith, 77, of Alex, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Alex, Oklahoma.

Albert E. Keith was born July 31, 1923, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, the son of Lawrence M. and Ada Lela [Raper] Keith, and died Monday, June 25, 2001, at his home in Alex.

Albert moved from Wynnewood to Alex where he worked until he entered the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he served on the LST 242. After World War II, he returned to Alex, where he lived, raised his family and was self-employed. He also worked for various companies including Gabriel. He retired from Gabriel 12 years ago.

Albert was a very good husband, dad and provider for his family.

He and Vivian Runnels were married January 10, 1942, in Alex, Oklahoma.

Albert was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alex.

Survivors include: wife: Vivian Keith, of the home; 2 daughters: Gayla Collier, of Alex, Oklahoma, and Glenda Ward of Alex, Oklahoma; 1 sister: Norma Jean Lowery, of Wilmington, California; 3 grandchildren: Janna Pelley, Richard Ward, Keith Collier; 2 great grandchildren: Kyle Pelley and Tyler Pelley.

Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Vivian Juanita [Wilkins] Runnels Keith
April 19, 1925 ~ December 2, 2006


Funeral service for Vivian Juanita Keith age 81 of Alex, Oklahomawill be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday December 5, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Vivian Juanita Keith was born April 19, 1925 at Lindsay, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Fred and Thelma [Smith] Wilkins. She died Saturday December 2, 2006 in Chickasha.

Mrs. Keith had lived in Alex most of her life.

Her husband Albert Keith preceded her in death in 2001.

Survivors include: two daughters: Glenda Ward of Alex; Gayla Collier and her husband Johnie of Alex; three grandchildren: Janna Pelley and her husband Darryl, Richard Ward, Keith Collier and his wife Jenifer; three great-grandchildren: Kyle Pelley, Tyler Pelley, John Allen Collier.

Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery Alex, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Imogene Lavern [Mandrell] Keith
September 30, 1932 ~ June 22, 2016


Funeral service for Imogene Keith of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at Maranatha Baptist Church.

Imogene Lavern [Mandrell] Keith was born September 30, 1932 to Hubert M. and Annie Mae [Freeman] Mandrell, on the family farm north of Mountain View, Oklahoma in Washita County, the third child of five children. She passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 83.

She attended Hopewell, Oak Dale and Mountain View schools. She participated in F.H.A and Glee Club. She was a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls.

Imogene married J.D. Allen on June 23, 1949 in Mangum, Oklahoma and to this union was blessed with two daughters, Jo Ella and Jo Ann. She later married R.D. Perdue, he preceded her in death in 1975. She married Raymond W. Keith on January 15, 1979. He preceded her in death in 1998.

She worked as a cashier, consultant in homebuilding, briefly for the Baptist Convention of Oklahoma and 25 years as a realtor associate. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and the Oklahoma Real Estate Institute in Oklahoma City and Blackwood Business College OKC, becoming a realtor in 1977. In 1980, she joined American Real Estate Better Homes and Gardens as a realtor associate and worked there until her retirement in 2002. She was also a member of American Businesswomen's Association, serving as secretary for two years. After retirement from real estate, she became a writer, compiling, publishing and copywriting three cookbooks. She also wrote her lifetime memoirs.

Imogene loved her family and loved gardening, antique collecting, Blue Grass and Country Gospel music. She treasured her darling daughter, Jo Ella and son-in-law, Roy Walker, her four granddaughters, Theresa Jo, Pamela Ann, Sabrina Gail and Deanna Rose Walker.

She spent a lot of time with her great grandchildren and wrote stories of the cute things they said and done. She was saved at an early age and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, parents, two brothers, Kenneth Mandrell and Leroy Mandrell; two sisters, Wanda June Mandrell and Martha Ann [Mandrell] Evans and an infant daughter, Faith Jo Ann Allen and great grandson, Justin Ervin.

Imogene is survived by her daughter, Jo Ella Walker and her husband, Roy; 4 granddaughters: Theresa Karns and her husband, Kyle; Pamela Prather and her husband, Richard; Sabrina Dunn and her husband, Jeremy; Deanna Berry and her husband, Jeremy; 10 great grandchildren: Scott and Jordan Ervin, Kayli Karns, Zachary Ervin, Jace Karns, Abbigail Dunn, Abrianna Dunn, Beau Dunn, Gemma Berry, Jake Berry and Jep Berry; 1 great-great grandchild, Cooper Ray Ervin.

Memorial donations may be made to the Baptist Children's Home OKC or Maranatha Baptist Church.

Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery, Alex, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
