Howell, formerly of Norman, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Alex Cemetery in Alex. Dicey was born March 9, 1930, at the home south of Alex. She was the daughter of Charlie and Maple [Neal] Hughes. She died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, in Conroe, Texas, at the age of 84. She married Cell Howell on Nov. 29, 1946, in Bradley. He preceded her in death in 1977. Before retirement, she worked as a secretary for Gordon’s Specialty in Norman. She enjoyed traveling, including trips to Europe and Russia as well as visiting most of the United States. Her parents and her sister, Charlene McKee also preceded her in death. Dicey is survived by her three children, Glenda Smith and husband Kenneth of Norman, Charles Howell and wife Rhonda of The Woodlands, Texas, and Morris Howell and wife Donna of Grove; grandchildren Samantha Stephenson, Stephanie Putman, Ryan Howell, Ashley Stokes, Staci Koutsoukos, Dustin Howell, Ray Smith and Kimberly Matthews; one sister and brother-in-law, DiAnn and Jesse Moore of Pratt, Kan.; 20 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery in Alex under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
