Alfred Glen Holden
March 30, 1943 ~ April 3, 2016


Alfred Glen Holden was born to Floyd Glen Holden & Florence Weeden on March 30th, 1943 in Blanchard, OK.

Alfred attended Blanchard Public Schools. Afterwards, at the age of 21, he moved to Chickasha, OK, and enlisted in the U.S. Army.

While in the U.S. Army, Alfred participated during the "Vietnam Conflict". He received an honorable metal for being a sharp shooter. Alfred was honorably discharged for the Military in 1964.

Alfred lived the majority of his adult life in Germany. He eventually moved back to Chickasha in 2001.

Alfred was a member of New Life Christian Church in Blanchard, OK.

On June 15th, 2006, Alfred Glen Holden united in holy matrimony to Flora McCarty in Wichita Falls, TX. They had one Son, Robert Belcher of Indiana.

Flora, wife, preceded Alfred in death on June 14, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his Son, Robert Belcher of Indiana, and one brother, Eugene Holden.

Alfred is survived by: two brothers, Kenneth Holden and Larry Holden both of Oklahoma City, OK; step children: Johnny McCartey, Charles Etta Cook, Freda Cook, Bennie McCartey, Gurven McCartey, and Sheryl McCartey, all of Chickasha, OK. One Son, Steven Holden of Germany.

Flora June [McCarty] Holden
September 26, 1941 ~ June 3, 2014


Funeral services for Flora June Holden, 71, of Chickasha, OK, will be held on Friday, June 6th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Full Gospel Church, 722 N. 10th Street in Chickasha; Pastor Alice Wendling will officiate and eulogize the services.

Flora was born on September 26, 1941 in Alex, OK. She passed away, at the home, on June 3, 2014.

Interment will be held at Alex Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Brown/Christian Funeral Home, Ricky A. Brown, Funeral Director/Embalmer.

Barbara J. [McCarty] Morris
1949 ~ 2012


Barbara Morris was the sister of Flora Holden. Ms. Morris was cremated in 2012. According to Ricky Brown, Funeral Director for Brown-Christian Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK, Ms. Morris' ashes were buried with her sister, Flora, on June 6, 2014 in the Alex Cemetery.

Double funeral markers, placed at the grave of Flora Holden on June 6, 2014, show that this grave is also the resting place of Barbara Morris.

In December 2014, a double stone was set for Flora Holden and her husband. In 2016, a small stone for Barbara Morris was attached to the Holden upright stone.
