© The Chickasha Express-Star Tuesday, January 9, 2007 William "Bud" Hefner August 5, 1916 ~ January 7, 2007 Funeral service for William "Bud" Hefner, 90, of Alex, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2007 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. William "Bud" Hefner was born August 5, 1916 in Verden, Oklahoma the son of John Clarence and Florence Beatrice [Garrett] Hefner and died January 7, 2007 at his home. Mr. Hefner worked and lived at Reding Farms before serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He and Opal Brooksher were married November 25, 1945. He then went to work for Rock Island Railroad and retired as a conductor almost 30 years ago. Mr. Hefner was also preceded in death by: Parents 1 son: William H. "Bill" Hefner Daughter-in-law: Mary Jane Hefner 1 sister: Rebecca Beth Davidson. Survivors include: Grandchildren: Bill Hefner and wife Cindy of Alex, Oklahoma David Hefner and wife Melissa of Alex Royce Daniel Hefner and Christy of Chickasha Pamela Middleton and husband Randy of Chickasha 1 brother: John Paul Hefner 1 sister: Dorothy Garrett 7 great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
