Interment will be at Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Sammy Edgar "Pepsi" Hawthorne, 75, was born May 13, 1944 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Herman and LaVida [Johnson] Hawthorne. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Pepsi was a lifelong resident to Chickasha, Oklahoma. He attended Chickasha High School. He served in the United States Army. Pepsi was a lifelong truck driver, worked for several years until he started his own trucking company, Hawthorne Trucking, until his retirement in 2004. He was a chartered member of Chickasha Eagles Lodge 4070. He was preceded in death by a son, Justin N. Hawthorne, parents, Herman Hawthorne and LaVida Johnson Hawthorne Arnold; stepfather, Burt T. Arnold; brother, Jimmy Hawthorne; sisters: Barbara Hawthorne Fish and Pamela S. Hawthorne Jaques; and brother-in-law, Edsel Leon Pool. Pepsi is survived by Judy Martin of the home; Siblings: Patricia Pool; Janell Ludwell and Frank; Kim Hawthorne and Janet; Neal Hawthorne and Kathryn; Rick Hawthorne; Kay Williams and Randy; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful cousins. |
