July 2012 Shirley Ann [Dale] Graves February 2, 1939 ~ July 22, 2012 Shirley Ann [Dale] Graves, of Chickasha OK, was born in Hobart OK on February 2, 1939 to Lloyd Jasper and Dorothy Mae [White] Dale and passed away on July 22, 2012. Her formal education began in Gotebo OK until the 7th grade at which time her family moved to Chickasha, where she graduated from high school. Shirley and W. A. Graves were married on February 24, 1956. W.A. served in the Air Force for 24 years. Shirley was always active in her local church family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ninnekah for 32 years and active until her illness prevented her from attending. She was preceded in death by both parents and one infant daughter. Survivors include her husband; three children, Charlotte Townzen and husband Douglas of The Colony TX, Gregory of Gould CO and Stacey Laine Hood and husband Dennie of Chickasha; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Richardson of Guthrie; step-dad, Victor Lee Wasson of Chickasha and numerous extended family and countless lifelong friends. |
