John Frederick Goodson
March 11, 1848 ~ May 1915

Died - At the home of his son, J. F. Goodson, at 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 1915, and his remains were laid to rest in the Morris cemetery in the afternoon.

Mr. Goodson and wife had come here from Mo. only a few weeks ago to make their home.

He was confined to his bed about eight days. He was sixty-seven years old.

His sons C. W. Goodson of Panhandle, Tex. and L. O. Goodson of O'Bryan, Tex. arrived in time to see him alive, but G. P. Goodson of Cerona, N. Mex. came in later.

The funeral was conducted at the Baptist church in Alex by Rev. Haley of Chickasha. A large crowd was in attendance at both church and cemetery.

Two of his sons, C. W. and L. O. returned home Wednesday, G. P. Goodson remaining for a few days with his mother and brother.
