© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, 12 May 2006 John Isac Cofer March 28, 1924 ~ May 10, 2006 Funeral service for John Isac Cofer, 82, of Alex, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2006 at the Alex High School Auditorium. John Isac Cofer was born March 28, 1924 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma the son of I.A. and Ollie [Smith] Cofer and died May 10, 2006 at his home. John lived in Grady County all of his life. He and Wynona Parks were married January 22, 1944. They had been married for 62 years. John farmed and ranched in the Alex area. He was a member of the Alex United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by: parents, 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors include: wife: Wynona Cofer of the home; two daughters: Renee Johnson and husband Richard of Alex, Oklahoma; Belinda Rogers of Moore, Oklahoma; one brother: Bobby Cofer of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; one sister: Cora Alice Still of Chickasha; three grandchildren: Shaun Johnson, Shelby Johnson, and Casey Rogers; four great grandchildren: Shaunna and Benjamin, Morgan and Riley. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
