© Chickasha Express~Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, May 5, 2016 Foy Alice [Watkins] Burleson October 5, 1925 ~ April 30, 2016 Foy Alice [Watkins] Burleson died peacefully on April 30, 2016 in Marshall, Texas She was born October 5, 1925 in Alex, Oklahoma to Robert F. Watkins and Alma [Drake] Watkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert Paden "Jack" Burleson, a sister, Darlene Keith and her parents. Jack and Foy married June 13, 1946 in Blanchard, Oklahoma and raised two daughters. She is survived by her daughters, Alice Corley and Debra Siebenlist and husband Bud, both of Marshall, granddaughters, Kelly Lansford and husband Danny of Tyler Texas, Kerri Dolan-Walker and husband Clay of Ruidoso, New Mexico, four great grand-children, Megan Hernandez and husband Philip of Tyler, Lindsey Lansford of Denver Colorado, Mikal Dolan and Courtney Dolan both of Odessa Texas and two great- great grandchildren, Ford and Grayson Hernandez. After many years in Odessa, Texas, Foy and Jack returned to make their home in Alex. Her friends and neighbors knew her as a source of generosity and compassion in a time of need. A longtime member of Alex Southern Baptist Chapel, Foy worked as a receptionist for Dr. McDougal in Chickasha and upon her retirement moved to Marshall, Texas to be near her daughters. While living in Marshall, Foy volunteered at the Soda Lake Baptist Association Clothes Closet, was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and always remained an avid basketball fan. The family wishes to thank the staff of Heritage House of Marshall and Marshall Hospice for their loving care. Graveside services and interment at Alex Cemetery, Alex, Oklahoma, on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Memorials to the charity of your choice.
