© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma March 1, 2005 Peggy LaRue [Story] Brand June 11, 1928 ~ February 27, 2005 Funeral service for Peggy LaRue Brand, 76, of Alex, Oklahoma will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Alex. Peggy LaRue Brand was born June 11, 1928 in Alex, Oklahoma the daughter of Elmer and Mamie (Maloney) Story and died February 27, 2005 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Peggy lived in Alex all of her life. She graduated from Alex High School in 1946. Peggy worked for the First National Bank of Alex for over 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alex where she served as church secretary and played the church organ for many years. She and Bob Brand were married May 18, 1946 in Alex, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death August 3, 1982. Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Brand of Oklahoma City; one son, Bobby Brand and wife Zana of Oklahoma City; one brother, Thomas Story and wife Maxine of Alex; two grandchildren, Shannon Brand and wife Natalie and Dustin Brand; great grandchildren, Shea Brand, Sylvie Brand and Spencer White. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
