Stella Corene [Drummond] Boatwright
July 13, 1925 ~ July 15, 2015


Stella Corene Boatwright was born July 13, 1925 in Alex, Oklahoma to Samuel Allen and Rosie Lee [Williams] Drummond.

She passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the age of 90.

Corene graduated from Alex High School where she played basketball. She lived practically her entire life in Alex.

She married Loyd William Boatwright on January 31, 1944 in Alex.

She was a member of the Alex Southern Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Boatwright on October 8, 1999; a great grandson Wyatt Jack; sisters and brothers: Glen Williams, Lucille Holbrook, Willie Mae Cole, Jamie Drummond, Louise Simeonton and June Huff.

Corene is survived by her son: Dwayne Boatwright and his wife, Melinda; Grandchildren: Kevin Boatwright and his wife, Diana; Kelly Boatwright and his wife, Kelly; Kory Boatwright and his wife, Kari; Great Grandchildren: Kooper Boatwright, Kash Boatwright, Kyler Boatwright, Cheyenne Boatwright and Daeli Boatwright, brother; Bob Drummond and sister, Gayle Doyle.

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 18, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Alex Southern Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery.

Wyatt Jack Boatwright
July 31, 2014 ~ November 6, 2014


Wyatt Jack passed away on November 6, 2014, and is now being cradled in the arms of our Lord and Savior. The precious infant son of Kelly Jack and Kelly Nicole Boatwright, Wyatt Jack blessed this earth on July 31, 2014, in Norman, OK.

Even though Wyatt Jack was only with us on earth for such a short time, he left footprints on each of our hearts. He will never be forgotten and forever loved by his mommy & daddy; maternal grandparents, Jim & Dianna Mauldin; parental grandparents, Dwayne & Melinda Boatwright; great-grandmothers, Corene Boatwright and Ruth Sellers; and countless other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to nowilaymedowntosleep.org or mailed to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, 2305 E Arapahoe Rd, Ste #220, Centennial, CO 80122.

Viewing will be at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes, 4-8 p.m. Monday with the family greeting friends 5-7 p.m. Services to celebrate his life will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at South Lakes Chapel with burial following at Alex Cemetery in Alex, OK.
