January 22, 2009 Clifford Benjamin Ball December 23,1916 ~ January 22, 2009 Clifford Benjamin Ball departed this life on January 22, 2009 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 92. Mr. Ball was a resident of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, formerly of Alex, Oklahoma. Clifford was born on December 23,1916 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Benjamin Bradford Ball and Alva Mary [McDonald] Ball. On January 26th, 1940, Clifford married Alma Othea Eatmon in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Mr. Ball lived in the Alex, Oklahoma area from 1935 to 2004. He was a farmer and stockman. Clifford was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Alex. His wife, Alma Ball preceded him in death on April 5,1996. Mr. Ball was also preceded in death by his parents, Ben Bradford and Alva Ball, one brother, Truman Ball and one baby sister, Selena Grace Ball. Survivors of Mr. Ball include three daughters; Patricia Ann Cunningham of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Mary Jane Reid of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and Alma Jean Sooter and husband Matt of Conroe, Texas and four grandchildren; Bruce Cunningham of Bozeman, Montana, Jule Cunningham of Houston, Texas, Letha Sooter of Morgantown, West Virginia and Ben Sooter of Knoxville, Tennessee. Graveside services for Mr. Ball are set for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Alex Cemetery in Alex, Oklahoma with Jim Sheerer officiating. Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma. The family of Mr. Ball suggests that memorials be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, summer camps program for the Southern Oaks Church of Christ in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and the Grady County Historical Society. |
