August 5, 2008 B. L. Watson July 30, 1917 ~ August 5, 2008 B.L. Watson, 91, beloved husband and father, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 with loved ones by his side. B.L. and wife, Donna Jean, have lived in Branson Missouri for the past two years. Home to the Watsons prior to Branson was fifteen wonderful years in their RV, full-time life on the road, "all-over" USA. B.L. was born in a log cabin in rural Davis, Oklahoma on July 30, 1917 to Bon and Eula Watson. He graduated from Davis High School, Class of 1934. After twenty-four years military service with Army/USAF, Chief Warrant Officer Watson retired in 1960. In his civilian life, B.L. was with General Dynamics ATLAS space program at Vandenberg AFB until phasing out on the west coast. His last thirteen years work as Chief Engineer for the State of California, in Fresno, California, gave him time for golf, travel and his big love of flying. B.L. was a noted flight instructor for Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Frederick, Maryland and through his flying career, logged over 2,000 hours. B.L. was a Christian and Charter Member of Clovis Christian Church, Clovis, California. Also, he was a member of the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma Masons. B.L. is survived by his wife of almost sixty years, Donna; his son and daughter-in-law, Gerald H. and Mary Watson of Chappaqua, New York; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan Lynn and Warren Lev of Fresno, California; his daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne Rae and Gary Johnson of Fresno, California; his son and daughter-in-law, Greg Allen and Kelly Watson of San Luis Obispo, California; plus loving grandchildren, John T., David, Cheryl, Amy, Aaron, Annamarie, Jeffrey, Natalie; great-grandchildren, Henry M., Hanna Rose, born one year ago on B.L.'s 90th birthday, and Eleanora L.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, John Thomas Watson and brother, Hermon Watson. Visitation will be Monday, August 18, 2008, at 1:00 PM at Krien Funeral Home, Davis, Oklahoma. Chapel services will follow at 2:00 PM with burial at Wynnewood View Cemetery with graveside military services by Tinker AFB Honor Guard. "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you."
