Shawnee, Oklahoma 11 October 2001 July 12, 1934 ~ April 10, 2019 Charles Hurley, of Pauls Valley, passed away April 10, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years. Charles was born July 12, 1934 in Roff, Oklahoma to Jewell [Lewis] Hurley and Oran Hurley, Sr. He was raised in the Roff area and is a graduate of the Roff High School. He was married to Lela Jennettie Armstrong in Ada, Oklahoma on October 13, 1956. Charles is a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a Truck Driver, father, grandfather and great grandfather and brother. Pauls Valley has been his home for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oran Hurley, Sr. and Jewell Hurley; his wife, Jennettie (Nana) Hurley; brothers, Edgar Lee Hurley and Paul Hurley; and sisters, Wynema Hurley and Janie Metcalf. His surviving family include: his children, Kevin Hurley and wife, Dianna, of Norman; Pebbles Tillery and husband, Lee, of Maysville; and Michael Hurley of Pauls Valley; 6 grandchildren, Tara, Cody, Heather, Diamond, Lee and Blake; 6 great grandchildren and one on the way; three sisters, Barbara Lemmings of Stratford; Wanda O'Neal and husband, Ed, of Pauls Valley; and Kay Wells of Wynnewood; two brothers, Oran Hurley, Jr. and wife, Linda; and Larry Hurley and wife, Susan, all of Pauls Valley. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Whitebead Cemetery officiated by Chaplain Tim Duncan. Interment will be at Whitebead Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
