October 2020 Odessa Lavonda [McCortney] Brown January 10, 1942 ~ October 19, 2020 Odessa Lavonda Brown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was born to Ruben and Mildred [Ketcherside] McCortney on January 10, 1942 and passed from this life on October 19, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years. Lavonda grew up and attended school at Pernell, Oklahoma. She worked as a truck driver alongside her husband, Billy Jack Brown. Mrs. Brown is survived by: Son: Robin Burleson and wife Shelley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Daughter: Barbara Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sister: Jane Terrell of Rockport, Texas, 2 grandchildren: Ashley Stover and Blake of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Zachary Anderson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 2 great-grandchildren: Mackenize Stover and Maliki Stover. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by: Her husband: Billy Jack Brown, Parents: Ruben and Mildred McCortney Sister: Methel Haslam. We respectfully ask you to follow social distancing and mask guidelines per the CDC if attending the services. Graveside services are scheduled at the Tussy Cemetery.
