© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma January 22, 2009 Ethel Mae [Gibson] Wallace January 5, 1949 ~ January 22, 2009 Ethel Mae Gibson Wallace of Pauls Valley was born January 5, 1949 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Raymond and Irene Amos Gibson. She passed away January 22, 2009 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Sulphur. Ethel worked for a time at Covercraft, Glo-Lite, the City of Pauls Valley and served many years as a Certified Nurses Aide. Ethel enjoyed going to gospel singings, to church and spending time with family and friends. She was the secretary of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Association Singing. She sung with Old Spicy and the Golden Girls. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Lee Wallace; her father, Raymond Gibson; a brother, Lester Gibson; 2 nephews, Jason Gibson and Josh Lee Wallace Jr.; 2 nieces, Candice Gibson and Rolena Bohanon; an aunt, Minnie Wallace; and a good friend and cousin, Anna Mae Harjo. Ethel is survived by four children - three daughters: Tamara and Bill Benn of Pauls Valley, Tina and Kenneth Amos of Pauls Valley, and Cindy and Kirby Nelson of Mercedes, Texas; one son, Chris and Stephanie Wallace of Muskogee; her mother, Irene Gibson of Pauls Valley; 5 brothers: Joe Gibson of Wynnewood, James and Darlene Gibson of Pauls Valley, Anthony and Tammy Gibson of Oklahoma City, Clifford and Della Gibson of Durant, and Chester Gibson of Stratford; as well as one close cousin, Albert and Elaine Wallace of Ada; 22 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be at her family's residence until Tuesday morning following a Wake that will be at her family's residence at 7 p.m. Monday evening, officiated by Brother Bobby Amos. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev Paul Williams and Rev. Robert Sanders. Interment will be at Sandy Hill Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
