October 2018 Juanette Bray Whitaker January 1, 1933 ~ October 5, 2018 Lindsay: Juanette Whitaker, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 in Midwest City at the age of 85. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Rev. Rocky Keck officiating. Burial will follow in the Purdy Cemetery. Family visitation has been scheduled for Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Juanette was born Sunday, January 1, 1933 in Lindsay, to Thomas Augusta and Bessie Furman (Turner) Bray. She had lived in the Garvin county area most of life but spent the last 8 years in the Oklahoma City area. Juanette worked as a cook for the Oklahoma School of the Deaf in Pauls Valley for more than 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Everyone loved her peach cobbler and thought her yeast rolls were the best ever. She enjoyed going on cruises to many different places throughout her life, but most of all, Juanette loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Lindsay. Survivors include, 5 sons, Jerry Morris and wife Lynn of Oklahoma City, Danny Allen Morris and wife LaNell Williams of Sulphur, Billy Glenn Morris of Foster, Gary DeWayne Tow and Brenda of Rush Springs, Richard Lynn Tow and wife Debbie of Chickasha, 3 daughters, Linda Irene Ferguson of Amarillo, TX, Janet Elaine Taylor and husband Temmey of Oklahoma City, Carol Ann Morales and husband Tony of Lewisville, TX, and a sister, Betty Christeen Carter of Foster. Juanette was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Royce Morris, her parents, 4 brothers, Charles Ray Bray, Marvin Dale Bray, Augusta Lee Bray, and Jewel Donald Bray. Pallbearers will be: her grandsons.
