Williams, of Ardmore, formerly of Paoli, was born October 14, 1912 in Wayne, Oklahoma to George W. and Della Mae [Haggerton] Williams. Mr. Williams passed away the morning of January 18, 2005 in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years. On October 21, 1939 he and Ruby M. Wyatt were married in Pauls Valley. He was a Farmer and a long-time resident of the Paoli area. Ardmore has been his home since June of 2002. He was a member of the Paoli First Baptist Church and of the Paoli/Pauls Valley Masonic Lodge where he had received his 50 year membership pin. Laurencie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 60 years, Ruby, 2 brothers, George Williams and Paul Williams as well as 1 sister, Willia Oplinger. Surviving family include his 1 son and his wife, Donnie and Jody Williams of Ardmore; 2 granddaughters and their husbands, Shelli and Neville Aga, of Moore and Debbie and Spencer Hauenstein, of Sachse, Texas; 3 great-grandchildren, Austin Aga, Evan Aga and Abbie Hauenstein; 1 sister, Fairy Isaacs, of Konawa; and 1 sister-in-law, Imogene Lawrence, of Wynnewood. Memorials may be made to the Tsunami Relief Funds through the Paoli First Baptist Church at PO Box 5 in Paoli, OK. 73074 or the N. W. Baptist Church at 1609 Robison in Ardmore, OK. 73401. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Paoli First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Rusty Brock and Bro. Eddy Mathews. Burial will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
