Michael Glen Whitaker
September 2, 1951 ~ November 22, 2006


Michael Glen Whitaker of Norman, formerly of Pauls Valley, was born September 2, 1951 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Vaughn Whitaker and Lorene.

He passed away November 22, 2006 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 55 years.

Michael is a Pauls Valley High School graduate and with a basketball scholarship he attended Southeastern University in Durant and completed his B. S. degree in Business Administration at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

Norman has been his home for the past eight months. He moved from Pauls Valley where he had lived for eight years.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Lorene Whitaker on December 8, 2003.

Surviving family include one son, John Michael Whitaker of Brooklyn, New York; one daughter, Amy Lee McCullough and her husband, Jeff, of Sherman, Texas; his father, Vaughn Whitaker of Pauls Valley; three brothers: James Whitaker of Pauls Valley, Raymond Whitaker of Norman and Gary Whitaker of Chickasha; one sister, Marilyn Poyner of Pauls Valley; and two grandsons, Christian Cash McCullough and Matthew Cole McCullough.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Paoli Cemetery.

Burial will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
