Dorothy Grace Walker of Del City died January 1, 2009. Dorothy was born May 8, 1921 to Charles Clemmons Futral and Mary Addie [Weems] Futral in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Lovingly known as Dordo by her family, she lived a full, fun-filled and always faithful life, devoting her love to her family, her church and her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters and five brothers.

Dorothy married Homer Walker in Oklahoma City March 28, 1969. Homer went to Heaven April 27, 1986.

She is survived by her son, Michael Bryan and daughter-in-law, Marian Whalen; daughter, Priscilla Jean and son-in-law, Odell Moore; grandson, Scot A. and his wife, Julie Ann Ferguson; grandson, Odell Michael Moore; granddaughter, Vickie Lee and her husband, Tom Oldaker; great grandchildren, Jessica Berry, Evan Ferguson, Eric Ferguson, Molly Herrin, Mandy Kraft and Salvatore Capra; great great-grandchildren, Leo Berry, Austin, Madison and Colton Herrin.

Dorothy retired as a nursing assistant at Baptist Hospital and spent her retirement years in service to others, remaining independent in her home that she loved. She was recognized as "Volunteer of the Year" by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and received many other awards for her dedication and work with the Food Pantry, R.S.V.P., her church and her neighbors.

Dorothy graduated from Fort Smith High School and remained a serious Arkansas Razorback fan her entire life. She was always the life of any party and always had a good joke to share. Grace always found joy in each and every day. She was truly "Amazing Dorothy Grace".

Services will be conducted by Ford Funeral Service at 10:30am Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Midwest City with burial at 2pm in the Paoli Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Midwest City, Oklahoma, the American Cancer Society or the charity of choice.
