January 21, 2012 Madison McKenzie Vandever September 17, 1996 ~ January 27, 2012 A Pauls Valley teenager was critically injured when the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a roll-over accident this past weekend. Initially listed in critical condition was 15-year-old Madison Vandever after a one-vehicle accident late Saturday night, Jan. 21. © Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma January 27, 2012 Madison McKenzie Vandever September 17, 1996 ~ January 27, 2012 Madison McKenzie Vandever, of Pauls Valley, was born September 17, 1996 in Pauls Valley, to Billy and Dana Vandever. Surrounded by her family, she passed from this life on January 27, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 15 years. Raised in a large family, Madison called Pauls Valley home her entire life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pauls Valley. Madison was a Freshman at Pauls Valley Junior High, where she was a gifted student and cheerleader. In addition, Madison played tennis, ran track and enjoyed serving as the basketball manager. Madison had recently followed her sisters to Tio's, where she waited tables. Despite her many activities, Madison's primary role was that of social butterfly. She may have never met a stranger. Her bright, easy smile was infectious and won her countless friends where ever she went. She was passionate and loyal in her friendships and loved her friends and family dearly. Madison was preceded in death by both of her paternal grandparents, Dalton and Dorothy "Nade" Vandever; her maternal grandfather, Gerald Perkins; an uncle, Johnny Ray Vandever; and her brother, Travis Colt Sutton. Surviving family include her parents, Billy and Dana Vandever, of Pauls Valley; her grandmother, Codene Perkins, of Lindsay; her siblings, Dalton Vandever, Erin Vandever, Taylor Sutton and T J Rushing, Jordyn Vandever and Carli Vandever, all of Pauls Valley; niece, Mora Rushing, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Pauls Valley High School Auditorium officiated by Lance Whaley. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
