Sims, of Pauls Valley was born February 19, 1944 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Issac Jackson and Doris Louise [Wigley] Cregger. She passed away April 4, 2009 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years. Delores was a L. P. N. for 45 years. She worked at the Pauls Valley State School and later S. O. R. C. for a total of 32 years as well as other various health care facilities until she retired in February 2008. She was a member of Church of Christ. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her 2 dogs, Chico and Pee Wee who were her pride and joy. She also loved the out of doors including, fishing, traveling, boat rides as well as dancing and arts and crafts. Delores was preceded in death by parents, Isaac J. and Doris Louise Cregger. Surviving family include 4 great-grandchildren, Jarrett Blakemore, Kelton Sims, Bryson Sims and Calen Sims all of Pauls Valley; 2 grandchildren, Brandon Sims and his wife, Tracie and Amber Sims; her son, William L. Sims of Norman; as well as her adopted children, Marla Harris of Pauls Valley; James Hein of Dallas, Texas; Mark Lindsay of Moore and Ronnie Thomas of Pauls Valley; and several cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 3:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Bro. Tim Duncan. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
