November 17, 2014 March 9, 1930 ~ November 17, 2014 John L. Parnell, of Pauls Valley, passed away November 17, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years. John was born March 9, 1930 in Marlow, Oklahoma to John K. and Annie Lee [Huddleston] Parnell. He is a Veteran having served in the United States Army. For over 40 years he worked for Jacobson Ready Mix Concrete. John enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting. Preceding him in death are: one son, Harold Wayne Parnell; one step daughter, Darla Sue "Susie" Lee and her husband, Joe Mike Lee and their son, Michael Stewart Lee. Surviving family include: step children, Tereasa Overton of Oklahoma City; Jeff Henry of Pauls Valley; and Sheri Henry of Paoli; the children's mother, Lillie Parnell of Pauls Valley; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Ted Parnell of Purcell and Marty Parnell of Mustang; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Paoli Cemetery officiated by Rev. Jimmy Dehart. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery. |
