Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK. Mr. Miller, age 76, passed away at his home in Moore. Mr. Miller, retired, had worked in the grocery business for Humpty Dumpty grocers and Spencer's IGA in Purcell, OK. Survivors include: 2 sons, Steven Elmer Miller and his wife, Sandie, of Yukon, OK, and Brett Eugene Miller of the home; 1 daughter, Meghan Miller; 2 step-daughters, Julie Smith and Darcy Cavanaugh; 11 grandchildren, Jacie and Jillian Smith, Danielle Weatherholtz, Devin and Seth Cavanaugh, Kaitlyn Beavers, Emily and Spencer Burdett, Corey and Kayli Lawrence and Zachary Miller; 2 great-grandchildren, Ganon and Samantha Lawrence and a sister, Anne Horn. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Connie Francine [Dobbs] Miller, in November 2012; his parents, Elmer and Ada Lewis Miller; his grandparents, John Henry and Granada Hester Miller and Louis Eugene and Frances Lumpkin Lewis. |
November 21, 2012 February 7, 1946 ~ November 19, 2012 NORMAN ~ Connie Francine Miller, 66, of Moore, OK, passed away on Nov. 19, 2012 at Norman, OK. Connie was born on Feb. 7, 1946. Connie worked as a barber for over 40 years. She liked working with her hands. She enjoyed staining glass, gardening and knitting. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Elmer Miller; 3 daughters, Julie Smith and husband Joey, Darcy Cavanaugh and husband Dan, and Meghan Miller; 2 sons, Steve Miller and wife Sandy and Brett Miller; 11 grandchildren, Jacie Smith, Jillian Smith, Danielle Weatherholtz, Devin Cavanaugh, Seth Cavanaugh, Kaitlyn Beavers, Emily Burdett, Spencer Burdett, Corey Lawrence, Kayli Lawrence and Zachery Miller; 2 great grandchildren, Ganon Lawrence and Samantha Lawrence; sister, Vaughnia Gilbreath; and brother, Donald Dobbs and wife Bernice; and many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Emma Dobbs. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, 120 South Broadway, in Moore, under their direction. Inurnment will be at Paoli Cemetery, Paoli, OK. |
